Donate to Hoos ReUse through Saturday

If you live on Grounds and want to lighten your load before moving out, please donate your gently used items to Hoos ReUse. You can donate books, clothing, furniture, nonperishable food, and a number of other items. See the website for a full list of accepted items and to find a nearby drop-off location. If you live off Grounds, the website also includes other donation locations in the Charlottesville area.

Volunteer to be a Greeter During August Move-In
If you're a returning upperclass student who would like to be a Greeter during first-year move-in (August 20, 22, 23), we encourage you to volunteer! Greeters are often the first friendly faces new students see when they arrive at the University. Student-greeters living on Grounds in the fall have the option to move in early on the day before their shift, and the first 400 students to sign up will receive $50 in Flex Dollars! Are You Suffering from GERD? Earn up to $250
The GI Research Department seeks adults ages 18-75 with GERD-associated heartburn symptoms who are taking a PPI 5-7 days per week and still experiencing heartburn. This study involves 4 office visits, lab tests (including blood draws and ECGs), taking the investigational drug/placebo, nightly questionnaires, and endoscopy. All research-related tests and procedures are provided at no cost. The investigational medication is a pre-biotic, lightly sweet liquid – just 1/3 teaspoon nightly. No pills or capsules.
