Final Practice Questions

7.   In what direction does the stream at B3226 flow?  What type of stream is it?

8.   Your team has found a subject on the hazel river trail.  Your compass reads 240 on a bearing shot to the summit of Hazel Mountain.  The status II subject needs a quick evac, but your radio cannot reach base, which is at ~ A4037 in Thorofare Gap.  A team member goes to a nearby location that should provide excellent communications with base.  She radios base with her coordinates and the subject’s coordinates.  What are they?  What is the distance and bearing between the two points?

9.   The subject has bilateral femur fractures and blunt head trauma.  The evac should be as quick and smooth as possible to minimize further injury.  Find two routes that the evac team could take.  Discuss the pros and cons for the trip to the subject and out to an ambulance  with the subject.  The evac team is at base.  They can use vehicles on paved/dirt roads only.
