Poodah Corner
Out of Space Once again the season of short courses is upon us. Having observed with vehement distaste the teeming masses thrice encircling Newcomb Hall, Poodah has come to the realization that demand by far outweighs supply. In an effort to soothe those souls denied the cornucopia of offerings, Poodah suggests the following methods to circumvent the system:
Views Around Grounds Again following the example of a certain newspaper monopoly with the spiffy high-tech website, Poodah poses the following question to the university community (no facts need apply): "What's up?" Pep Band Member: Yeah, I thought being in the Pep Band would get me some play ... the only thing that I've been playing is the, um, "flute." And Quake. Goddamn. Ombudsman: Dude, like, the subject of a gerund is always in the possessive case. Whoa ... brah, hey! That participle is sooo dangling, totally out there, ya know. It's like, yeah. UTS Bus Driver: Hey buddy! How many times do I have to tell you: NO REAR ENTRY. We're not leaving until you get off and get back on like a normal person. NO REAR ENTRY! Dunglison RA: My residents are really creative. They keep talking about visualizing things on the walls. I think they might be over-stimulated. Honor Rep: The media has been asking questions. DO NOT ANSWER. I want to remind all of you of your responsibility to the Community to disclose nothing, I repeat, NOTHING, about any case. ZERO. ZILCH. ZIP. NADA. RIEN. Q: Were you on this case? A: I am bound by confidentiality and cannot respond. Q: What do you think about this case? A: I am bound by confidentiality and cannot respond. Q: What can you tell me ...
A: Why don't you call Rene or Cabell or Clair so they can
explain to you that I am bound by confidentiality and
cannot respond. Spirits of Preventions Poodah's attentions have been turned upon a recent directive issued to the English Department: that upon encountering any reference to our glorified poison, alcohol, in the prose and poetry of past literary masters, professers must bring students up to date in regards to the dangers of said substance in our day and age. In order to avoid the mistakes of the past, Poodah has compiled a list of other pertinent historical vices that should be duly noted.
