GEMS - Girls Excited about Math and Science is an organization dedicated to promoting math and science to middle school girls around Charlottesville. We take trips to various middle schools to encourage math and science to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders by performing and experimenting fun projects with the girls. Past experiments have included making paper airplanes, making gak, solving logic puzzles, and exploring liquid nitrogen.
