It may not seem like it, but the end of the semester is closer than it appears. What this means is that it is time for elections for next year's officers. I propose the timeline that if you are interested in a position that you let me know by March 30th and we hold the elections on April 5th (Dessert & Dance revel). Of course, if it happens that only one person runs for each position whether through coincidence or you all worked it out among yourselves, we will just declare these folks the new officers. The positions don't take much time and will look great on your resume. The positions are as follows:

plans and carries out activities
maintains the group mailing list
works with the Shire of Isenfir in planning activities (and serve as the Deputy Chatelaine of the Shire on the UVA grounds)
updates the activities calendar on the web page
works to increase membership
*Vice President
assist in planning and carrying out activities
works to increase membership
* Treasurer
handles the StudCo appropriations process (making a budget and going to appropriations hearings)
handles reimbursements through the StudCo financial office
plans and executes a fundraiser if desired
* Secretary
submits activities to UVA web calendars
handles all publicity (fliers, newspaper ads, etc.)
maintains records of members
* Webmaster
maintains the organization's web page
*Other
If you would like a position that is not seen here such as "Representative of Armored Combat" or "Movie coordinator" we can certainly talk about creating it.
You are allowed to hold multiple positions (except President & Treasurer at the same time), so consider helping out in whatever manner you can.
