FORMS

The Accused Rights and Responsibilities form (requires Adobe AcrobatPDF Document) is MANDATORY for every trial and hearing panel. Please print the form off and hane it signed five days before the trial is supposed to be held. It can be turned in, along with any other piece of evidence or paperwork, by slipping it under the door of the Executive Office of the UJC on the fourth floor of Newcomb Hall. This must be completed on paper for a trial to take place.

Complainants can drop charges by completing the Drop Charges Form (requires Adobe AcrobatPDF Document) . This must be completed and turned into the trial chair or slipped under the UJC office door, as described above. All or some charges may be dropped. Questions should be addressed to each individual trial's chair.

Hearing panel requests are no longer to be completed using a paper form unless explicitly requested by the trial chair. Both the complainant and the accused parties can request a hearing panel via the online system which can be accessed by clicking on the link in the lefthand manu list that reads "Log on to UJC System," but such a request does not guarantee that it will be granted. Psychological evaluations can also be requested via the online system. The accused student must do this by logging on to the website and filing the request. Questions regarding these processes should be directed towards the trial chair for each case.

RESOURCES

For alleged violations of Standard 6, it may be helpful for parties and counselors to review The Record to see which part of it was actually violated. Of specific interest would be the section on Non-Academic University Regulations.

Similarly, allegations of violations of Standard 10 can be investigated by parties and their counselors using many resources, including but CERTAINLY not limited to the Virginia General Assembly Legislative Information System, which includes a searchable database of the Code of Virginia and the Law Library of Congress, which includes all legislation passed in the United States Congress.
