Day Care
The Madison House Day Care program extends its services to the children of Charlottesville and Albemarle County. University of Virginia student volunteers work with teachers to lower the adult-to-child ratio in area day care centers. The volunteers provide assistance to day care staff and secondary care for children. In a day care center, the adult-to-child ratio is never small enough and the volunteer can be a big help. The child receives more attention when an extra adult is present. And there can never be too many positive role models in a child's environment!
