Mission Statement

The Housing Improvement Program (HIP) is committed to providing safe, adequate and affordable housing throughout Charlottesville and the surrounding area. The program works with a range of community partner organizations to combat housing inequalities in various forms particularly by both renovating existing structures and constructing new housing. Through our continued efforts, we hope to raise the standard of living in the Charlottesville area by helping to provide residents with safe and adequate shelter.
