UMS General Body Meetings
UMS General Body Meetings are biweekly, though other meetings may be scheduled should the need arise. At meetings we discuss upcoming projects and presentations and give short mediation training reviews. We also occasionally host mediation professionals or other speakers. Meetings are casual and offer members the opportunity to voice their opinions and suggestions, stay up to date on UMS projects, events, and cases, and keep in touch with their fellow mediators and educators.
Attendance Policy
Because the involvement of UMS members provides such critical support for the organization, attendance at general body meetings is mandatory for all members. Please notify the Coordinator at least 24 hours before the next meeting if you are unable to attend, and your absence will be excused. Unexcused absences will affect your assignment to cases and eligibility for leadership roles. More than two (2) unexcused absences may require your withdrawal from the organization.
