Food Assist: Summer Volunteer Opportunities 
Food Assist is a community group that focuses on bridging the gap between food waste and insecurity. We recover food that would otherwise go to waste and transport it to those in need at The Salvation Army, The Haven, & the UVA Community Food Pantry. Virtual Multilingual Volunteer Opportunity with MOVE 
Join anytime!
Use your skills to benefit our community this summer through MOVE (the Multilingual Outreach Volunteer Effort) and use your skills to benefit our community this summer! MOVE provides nonprofessional translations to bridge multilingual Charlottesville with community services such as education, housing, and health care. Our volunteers do not need to have native-level proficiency to participate. Most translations are done collaboratively online. Each volunteer decides how often and how much they will contribute to translation requests. We are looking to expand our Dari, Farsi, Pashto, Arabic, and Swahili language teams, but we welcome ALL languages! Register now. Learn more.
